K.A Robinson, I love you!! I have always been a fan of K.A.'s work. She is one of the author that I will One-Click all her work. And when I read the blurb for this one, I knew that I would love it. I was expecting that. I was NOT expecting to bawl my eyes out and go through half a box of tissues! This quickly became one of my top books of 2014 and one of my favorites out of K.A's books. I really can't put into words how amazing this book was.

Alexandria has become her paren'ts worse nightmare. She fights and get into trouble at school. She has facial piercings. Tattoos. And is dating a drug-dealer. Her boyfriend, Joel, has a lot to do with the way she is acting. Not to say that he is the one that changed her but Lexi changed herself into something that she thought that he wanted. When Lexi is caught selling drugs by her Mom they send her to live with her grandparents for the summer.

Enter Landon.. SWOON. God, I loved this man. He is soo my type so it was natural for me to fall in love with him. He was so incredibly sweet and patient. The two of them had an instant attraction and even though she had a boyfriend, he was not going to give up on them becoming an item. I loved their friendship. I loved the back and forth banter.

“Landon leaned over me, his face inches from mine. “I’m telling you right now that I’m not going to give up on you. I want you to be mine, City, and before the summer is over, you will be. I’ve never wanted someone the way I want you.”
My heart started racing as I let his words sink in. What he wanted was impossible, and I was going to break him.
“I’m sorry, Landon,” I whispered.
“Don’t tell me that. I’m not letting you go.”
There was a determination in his eyes that scared me and excited me all at once. Some small sick part of me didn’t want him to give up. It wanted him to chase me until I gave in.”

Honestly, I thought it was going to go like this... Bad girl falls in love with good boy and they live happily ever after. the end. Noooope! Not at all. There were so many twists and turn's. A tragedy that left me speechless. I really liked that they built a friendship before it pursued to anything. And when Lexi was with Landon.. she could just live and be herself. He brought out the best in her.

"It was nice to just...be. I didn't have to pretend not to care about anything or act like a hard-ass out here. I was just being me."

This was a perfect mix of grief, healing, redemption and finding the happy medium between the person you once were with the person you are now. We watch Lexi grow into a strong young woman by the end of Breaking Alexandria. She has been through hell and back and it was not an easy trip at all. But sometimes you have to fall before you can pick yourself back up. And in the end it was worth it because she found her way back.

"There's something in your eyes begging to get out, but you keep it locked up. You've got to let it out, City. Just let it go."

I can't express how much I loved and enjoyed this book. This review doesn't even do justice to it because I can't think of the right words to say. This is a must read and if you haven't read it yet, one-click now!

Breaking Alexandria eBook KA Robinson Reviews

I didn't know if this book was going to be for me, the cover kind of threw me off a little bit. I thought it was going to be a teen bobber/ punk book. I couldn't have been more wrong! Once I started this book I couldn't put it down, I fell in love with EVERY character, even the ones I didn't think I should, being a parent of a teen daughter. This book took my emotions on a roller coaster ride. I cried, gasped, laughed, and smiled. K.A. Robinson did an amazing job telling this story and she taught me once again you can't judge a book by its cover. I would recommend this book to everyone. I can't wait to read what K.A. Robinson has in store for her readers/fans. And I say readers/fans because I don't believe you can read one of her books and not become both.
K.A. Robinson has done it again! I have loved every one of her books so far!

As a mother, there were times while reading this book that I wanted to smack some sense into Lexi. There were other times I just wanted to hug her and tell her everything would get better. There were several moments in this book that left me gasping. Just when I thought the story would go one way, it did a complete turn on me. There were at least a couple of times I had to just put the book down for a few minutes because I couldn't read through the tears. This isn't your typical love triangle (for those who hate love triangles), it is so much more! I don't want to say much more because I don't want to ruin the story.

I loved, loved, loved this book!
At first I wasn't so sure if I wanted to read this book, the synopsis looked pretty good. So I tried a sample & after the sample I was like nope! Alexandria annoyed me in that sample but it kept popping up as a good read & than it went on sale. So I ignored my first gut instinct & bought it & read it & wow am I glad I did. Don't get me wrong Alexandria (Lexi) still annoyed me at the beginning with her I'd do anything for Joel even deal drugs bulls***. But I kinda had to take myself back to my first love & high school and realize that at that age during that time we can be stupid. So I got past it & continued to read & that's when all the good stuff happened. It was a coming of age story for Lexi on discovering who she is after she gets caught dealing for Joel & getting sent away. At first she was miserable but she tried to make the best of it. While she was away she met Landon & he helped her to start to see the kind of person she is & that there was more to her than being Joel's girlfriend. She was already starting to realize the changes that had happened while she was dating him & starting to think that some were really who she is & that some were do to the environment she put herself in. This book had me irritated, laughing, falling in love & grieving. Such a good story & so glad I gave it a chance )
That was something else. Talk about mixed up. When I was reading the book I was thinking yes this happens a lot. Young girl falls in love and becomes someone different, becomes the things that surrounds her and becomes rebellious. Now with that being said let's move into the men. Joel, well i didn't automatically fall for him and I'm not sure if it was because he was a drug dealer or because I just didn't find the spark but somewhere deep I knew he had to care for her. But maybe not enough since he was putting her in danger. A lot.
Now Logan he and Joel were totally different Logan is the one I feel for instantly. He was sweet, caring, respectful and it was so easy to see that he cares for her. He worried about her wanted to save her. But I wasn't prepared for the whirlwind about to take place. It angered me to say the least. I was confused and couldn't figure out her thinking. But then eventually I think I figured it out. Made it easier to comprehend but that didn't mean instill wasn't upset. But then she finally woke up and realized her errors and was bound and determined to make it right . That's when I wanted to give her a high five. About freaking time. So yes I was happy with the ending. I and enjoyed the book.
